RSL hosts another episode of selected shorts:

Guest host Robert Sean Leonard presents stories about transgression, misunderstandings, and betrayal. “Initials Etched on a Dining Room Table Lockeport Nova Scotia” call up a host of memories in this story by Peter Orner, performed by Maulik Pancholy. A chef down on his luck gets a new start in “Ollie’s Back,” by Lynn Sloan, performed by Nate Corddry. And parents disagree about the raising of a lively daughter, in “Light,” by Lesley Nneka Arimah, performed by Crystal Dickinson.

This one is nice as right at the end, he talks very candidly (and in typically droll fashion) briefly about raising girls. It's quite heart-warming hearing him talk about 'my 3 girls' and how 'boy it's a lot of fun in my house!'

Here's an article about the movie Ground Control (yeah I never thought I'd see that either—most reviewers mention Dead Poets Society) entitled The Underrated Charms of Ground Control.

Here's an excerpt about RSL:

Robert Sean Leonard plays Harris’s opposite number, a young, cocky antagonist named Cruise who thinks he knows better than the washout. The name kind of fits, because he’s almost like if Tom Cruise had become a controller instead of a pilot in Top Gun.

As anyone who saw Leonard as Dr. James Wilson in House knows, he can play a bit of a jerk when he has to—and here he leans into it perfectly. He’s got that little extra amount of smarm that makes you want to punch him on more than one occasion

I think this is a re-run, but RSL was hosting this one. It's up on iTunes (if you're in the U.S.), but not on the Selected Shorts website

RSL is starring in a new play (or an "industry presentation") with Stockard Channing called Broken. They star as a mother and son reunited after decades apart. It's an invitation-only presentation at the MTC Rehearsal Studios.

Hi everyone! Sorry I've not been online or around much at all  lately, life is busy. Doesn't appear to be any news about RSL's next project (other than the Hot Zone TV series) but while I was having a little Google, I came across this oldish Broadway World message board. It made me smile, so thought I would share it.

Basically, someone posted said title, suggesting they found it hard to believe. Which then leads to a whole thread of long-term true Broadway fans defending him, and replying what a great actor he is! Most agreed that Harold Hill wasn't the role for him, but everyone comments about how brilliant an actor he is, someone even says he is "really one of the best we have" :D

Anyway, it made me smile, which is not something that happens all that much in these strange and scary times we are living in, so I thought I would share it: https://www.broadwayworld.com/board/readmessage.php?thread=1078712

RSL has joined the Hot Zone. It's going to air on Nat Geo and be a 6 episode limited miniseries based on the book of the same name by John Preston. RSL will play Hazelton research lab liaison Walter Humboldt. The Hot Zone will premiere in 2019.

And if you haven't already read the book, please do. It's really good.

Stillman was asked about the actors dancing and how he got around the actors' being insecure about it.

"Some people were really comfortable with it. I think all the women were really comfortable with it and Matt Ross, who has become a director, he really made it a great comic thing. And then, Robert Sean Leonard was just sensational. And that’s my favorite scene in the movie: Kate Beckinsale and Chloë Sevigny are dancing and having a really good time, and then the camera pushes in on them through a whole crowded dance floor. It’s a Chic song, I think “Everybody Dance.” Robert Sean Leonard arrives playing the Tom character and he and Chloë start dancing."
