A piece about the preview of Prodigal Son which gives the story of the play and towards the end a bit about RSL.

Hey, RSL is working with another Law & Order: SVU actor!
Does anyone else squirm that this play is autobiographical, that the playwright is basically telling everyone that HE'S brilliant and special?

I saw it, and YES.

Especially since the way he proclaims it is cliche'.

I snickered at the first comment saying the play opens on the playwright's character with a book he "reallocated" from a bookstore. "Reallocated", for God's sake.

But she never played a tough-talking detective, as the article claims! I don't remember he at all and after looking on IMDB, it appears she was in it twice -playing small victim rolls! Anyway, I'm sure they can share their experiences!

Yes! I couldn't help but think this too! "Irish boy from the Bronx whose intelligence – and good looks — land him a scholarship to a Catholic prep school in New Hampshire." Hmmmmm

Yes, what kind of school gives a boy a scholarship because of his looks? Does RSL's character turn out to be a ephebophile?

Interesting article. Thank you.

But there’s no getting away from Timothee Chalamet as Jim, somewhere between Tony Perkins and Marlon Brando.
Well, now I'm intrigued with actor, Chalamet. Still, I can't imagine anyone bridging the gap between Perkins and Brando. That's like hybridizing a watermelon with a lemon.

LOL!

I don't know what to make of Chalamet yet. I vaguely remember him in Homeland. I think I found him annoying... But in his defense, he was young and playing the annoying boyfriend of the whiny teenage girl that irritated me...
So he may well have grown as an actor! :-)

Thanks for sharing this!

It's great to finally read a more in depth account of what the play is actually about!
